Abstract

The construction system of joist and platelet constitutes one of the roof and floor solutions most used in the construction of houses in the province of Matanzas. The need to build and rehabilitate houses with large spans led to changes in the dimensions of its component elements and consequently in its design. These modifications fail to meet resistance parameters and durability requirements regarding small-format construction systems, they are not in accordance with current trends that govern the design process of reinforced concrete structures in Cuba. The research proposes a variant of the joist and platelet construction system with integrated elements, where the concrete folder and a trapezoidal section beam form a T-section beam that provides greater resistance to the system and meets the durability requirements, in addition to maintaining the principles for which it was created (maneuverability and economy). Two variants of semi-joists are analyzed, the first with a strut in the center and without negative steel, and the second with a strut and with negative steel, where according to the results obtained, the first variant is the one that resists the imposed load system. once the system is integrated between the T-beam and the semi-joist. The main contribution of the work is to provide the organism in charge of its design and construction with a new variant in accordance with the requirements that construction systems must meet.
