Expansion And Geometric Design Of The Vía Alterna S/N, Which Runs From The Site El Corral Viejo To The Parroquia El Retiro

Abstract

This project presents a proposal for the design and geometric layout of the alternate road located in the Machala canton, which ranges from the El Corral Viejo site to the El Retiro parish, because it is an important artery that allows entry to the Machala cantons. , El Guabo and Passage. This road is currently in terrible condition, it is a dirt road -guardarraya-, and due to its irregular geometry it is susceptible to temporary damage in winter. This causes constant discomfort for residents who have to move around this sector on a daily basis.

For the development of the proposal, a survey of information has been carried out through topographic equipment. Subsequently, a study of vehicle capacity was carried out to determine the type of road, which in this case corresponds to a fourth order. Likewise, the study and laboratory test and the processing of data obtained in specialized software were carried out. With these results, the design of the road is based on the current road regulations in our environment and the structural package of the design is flexible pavement; With the help of Microsoft Project software, each item has been defined and a period of 128 days has been determined for the execution of the work.

In this way, with this proposal an existing transport and mobility problem that affects an entire community and limits the economic and productive development of the area is resolved.
