This work reports the results of durability tests carried out on samples of structural mortars made from the use of PET, as well as an addition or replacement material for fine aggregate. The PET flakes were obtained by mechanically grinding the plastic with a fineness less than 4.76 mm. It was shown that in mortars made with 5 and 10% PET, for both forms of use, the same current quantity passes through that of the control mortar, in the case of 5%, the electrical resistivity increased 2.4 and 2.1 kΩ·cm respectively. Except for the addition of 15% PET, the capillarity with respect to the control mortar is lower. The capillary absorption values obtained for 5 and 10% of PET as an addition were 0.40 and 0.33 g/cm², however, when it was used as a replacement it was 0.34 and 0.31 g/cm².
