The construction industry plays a critical role in the global economy, driving growth and development around the world. However, in recent times, it has experienced a decline in its strength and vitality due to the scarcity of resources. It is crucial to address this problem through an approach focused on project efficiency. The careful study of efficiency can generate added value to projects and lead to more significant economic benefits. In this context, the research focuses on the analysis of performance in a specific drinking water project. The objective is to identify the activities that are causing losses and propose effective solutions to improve efficiency. To achieve this, tools such as the balance sheet are used, based on the principles of Lean Construction. This approach has been proven to be an effective methodology for eliminating waste and optimizing processes in construction projects. It is expected that the findings of this research will not only lead to practical recommendations for the improvement of the work in question, but will also promote the widespread use of efficient management tools in construction projects. This will help revitalize and strengthen the construction industry, making companies more competitive and sustainable in the long term.
