Abstract

The different non-linearity models that the ETABS software allows to incorporate in reinforced concrete walls, open the possibility that there may be some uncertainty or possible variation in the results obtained in a non-linear analysis such as natural periods, capacity curves, formation of plastic hinges, tensile and compressive deformations of the shear wall and floor drifts, since, in this research, the local and global response of a dual frame with reinforced concrete structural walls with aspect ratios h/l of 1, 2 and 4 is evaluated in the face of a non-linear static analysis; with three nonlinearity assignment models: fiber shell type, layered shell type and wide column, that is, each aspect ratio with three types of models, from which results were obtained for nine mathematical models that indicate analogous responses for the shell models in all aspect ratios, these being the most rigid according to their natural period, however, the models with wide column present marked differences and try to get closer to the responses found with shell models as the aspect ratio increases.
