About the Journal

Focus & Scope 

The Journal of science and construction is a quarterly online publication available in Spanish and English languages. Each new issue will be online on march, july, september and december every year. Its target audience is the technical and scientific community anywhere in the world as well as well as engineers, professional or even students with a common interest on Civil Engineering and its related fields.

The journal is published quarterly, in the months of March, June, September and December of each year.

Mission 

Provide the dissemination of research work and practical applications of Civil Engineering, carried out in research centers, both in Cuba and abroad.

Contribute to the development and updating of professionals and students, as well as to scientific and academic discussion and exchange.

The Science and Construction Journal aims to be a nationally accredited scientific publication with international recognition, with high visibility, impact in the scientific community and recognized prestige, for the dissemination of articles with high scientific content, which contribute to the knowledge of readers. and promote the advancement of science and technology.

Key Thematic Areas 

Structures, Geotechnics, Transportation, Materials and Construction; although works from other disciplines are accepted, as long as they interact with Civil Engineering and cover aspects: Technological, Environmental, Computational, among others.

Target audience 

The Science and Construction Journal is aimed at the scientific and academic community, national and international; as well as students, engineers and professionals in general who work in the field of Civil Engineering or related disciplines.

Type of Articles

Original scientific research articles: which aim to: present in detail the original results of an investigation.

Case study articles: these are documents that aim to present in detail the results observed in a particular case.

Technical note articles: they are documents with their objective oriented towards the exhibition and discussion of relevant works, projects and regulatory aspects, fundamentally.

Review articles: these are documents in which the objective is to present the results published in research articles, to issue an orderly, critical assessment and expose the progress and current development trends in a topic.
